Sticky Bin Functionality

Sticky Bin functionality is a unique feature of our platform that optimizes payment success rates and ensures a smoother payment experience for customers. This function is built around the concept of 'associating' a card with a particular Payment Service Provider (PSP) that has previously processed a successful transaction with the card. Here's a closer look at how it works:

Association of Card and PSP

Whenever a payment is successfully processed, the Sticky Bin functionality 'sticks' or 'associates' the card used in the transaction with the PSP that processed the payment. This association is stored for future use.

Priority in Processing

If the same card is used for another transaction, our system will first attempt to process the payment through the PSP associated with that card, irrespective of other routing rules that are in place. This is because the chances of transaction success are often higher when the card is processed by a PSP that has successfully handled it before.

Fallback Strategy

If for some reason, the associated PSP is unable to process the payment (perhaps due to issues on the PSP's end or if the PSP's limits have been reached), the platform's fallback strategy comes into play. It continues the payment processing with other available PSPs in accordance with the configured routing rules. This ensures that the transaction is still processed and provides an extra layer of redundancy.

Benefits

Sticky Bin functionality can significantly increase the success rate of transactions, improve customer satisfaction, and optimize the transaction load across multiple PSPs. It allows merchants to make the most efficient use of their available payment processing options.

Remember, Sticky Bin functionality is configuration by default. Please refer to our detailed guide or contact our support team for further assistance.
